Isn’t it surprising how much time we spend discussing things having to do with bodily functions? Sometimes traveling really does boil down to the basics. We thought we’d share a picture of the “facilities” at Santipac campground. It’s a two-holer toilet shack, but one doesn’t have a door, which sort limits its’ utility except for middle-of-the-night, but it’s too far from our Chalet for that. The blue barrel is full of water and some sort of sweet-smelling antiseptic additive, and when one wants to “go”, you take a bucket and fill the toilet tank, and then flush. It works. Our outside Chalet shower with portable tent for privacy continues to work very well; we now have that system down so it’s easy, and since the outside air temperature is warm, Cathryn hasn’t complained about bathrooms since last Sunday.
