We had fallen into the pattern the first two nights at Bahia Concepcion of getting together with our neighbors Jan and Jim, who continue to be delightful, having cocktails at 5:00, then breaking for dinner in our respective “rigs” (RVers jargon) for dinner at 7:30 or 8 pm. Last night we mixed it up a bit by getting together after dinner instead, and had a beach fire made from alder wood we hauled all the way from Olalla! We were joined by Frank and Lynn, also from British Columbia, who brought several pieces of ironwood to contribute to the fire. We stayed out until almost 10:00 hearing Frank’s amazing stories of his and Lynn’s life in Canada, then retired for the night.
