Yesterday we slipped our lines and moved from the marina where we’d spent 3 nights to the Marathon Marina nearby. We were happy to make the move as the first marina had some unsavory characteristics that left us something less than comfortable. The Marathon Marina is great and has wonderful, clean amenities including a swimming pool, numerous “Captains Lounges” sprinkled around the property for gathering with friends, and bike racks for storing bikes off the boat, among others. Blow, our view.
We’ve mostly been catching up on personal business and boat chores, grocery shopping, laundry and the like in preparation for the arrival of our last visitors on this Loop.
This afternoon long-time friends Jim and Phebe, who live in our neighborhood near Seattle, arrived for the week having flown into Miami, then rented a car to drive to Marathon and join us on the boat.
