Days on cruise: 280
The Village of Goodland sponsors a boat parade each year, and we happened to hit it today. It’s a fundraiser for the local Hospice organization. The theme for this year was Broadway Musicals, so boats were decorated accordingly, including playing music taken from the play over loud speakers.
We walked to town and sat on the seawall to watch along with many hundreds of other folks. The wind was blowing 25 knots and even small boats had a lot of trouble turning into the cove off the main channel to swing past the crowds of observers. One gorgeous Chris Craft from Nantucket was parked on a restaurant dock to watch, and so many parade boats almost hit him that he finally left. We’ll let the photos of the parade boats speak for themselves.
